Standard Ethics Italian Index was launched on 1st of January 2014, with the initial value of 10,000.
The index was rebased at 10,000 starting after the closing on the 31st December 2014.
The Standard Ethics Italian Index purpose is to measure, over time, the stock market confidence concerning OECD, EU and UN voluntary guidelines and indications on Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Governance.
Components and weights
The Index components are the 40 major Italian listed companies.
The index is weighted according to a sustainability score, the Standard Ethics Rating (SER). The index wants to offer an alternative to benchmark indices that are typicallly weighted by float-adjusted market capitalisation.
Rebalancing and Review
The index, being weighted according to a sustainability score, is active and therefore rebalanced montly.
The index is reviewed every six months.
Changes to ratings will be recorded only on the dates when the review is scheduled to take place
